Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
We did CAD design of parts for Risk Reduction Test
We also looking for a basket that can be used for the Risk Reduction Test
3D printed some test inner seals, the part that comes in contact with the colonoscope and seals it. It's basically a 3D printed disk with a hole in the middle that the colonoscope passes through. 3 different sizes were printed. One exactly the diameter of the scope, one 0.01'' bigger, and one 0.01'' smaller. We will use this to find out which size seal to use. The durometer is '70 for the exact size, '40 for the smaller one, and '60 for the larger one.
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Emailed Stratysys, and found out Tangoblack is not FDA approved :(.
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Get components ready for Risk Reduction Test on Monday
Individual Component Analysis done by Friday midnight
Keep update weekly progress report

Brought the 3D printed parts to meeting with Dr. Gillet and Young. The seals cannot be flat surfaces. It should be round to increase the pressure clamping onto the colonoscope. (Dr. Gillet 6 April 2017)
We can print out mold and then cast our part using FDA approved materials (Gillet 6 Airl 2017)
For testing, we can go to the scrap bin and find something 1/2'' wide, or use shrink tubing over a 1/2'' rod.
