Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Went back to Ian seal as it had a better seal for the same amount of friction as the simple round seal.
Dr. Tolley's Stratasys 3D printer broke again and stops halfway when printing.
Printed from Projet instead, the one with the wax. We want a second mold and the inner design to have the new Ian seal.
Accomplishments from Previous Week
successfully solved the cure inhibition problems. Painted the inside with Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) to form a barrier between the PDMS resin and the 3d printed mold.
tested various seal designs to verify our seals, but then found out our iteration then didn't work. And so we reverted back to the ian seal which upon further testing, turned out to be better having a better sealing effect for the same amount of friction. And so the mold was redesigned to incorporate the Ian seal.

Wanted more of the devices, and so we printed a second mold to speed up production.
Pig test scheduled for July 28th, and so we have until then to make as many as we can.
Risks and Areas of Concern
outer seal design may not seal very well for a loose sphincter, but we can't tell until it is inside a person with a loose sphincter.
Schedule
continue supporting the project until the patent goes through.
