Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Currently in material selection phase. Primary focus is determining necessary components to purchase and working on finalizing designs of subsystems.
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Began ICAs
Completed MRI safety training
Magnetic testing of fasteners at Home Depot. Conclusion is any stainless steel fastener must be ordered. Type 316 stainless is most likely to be used
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Determine a method for leveling positioning system (Jonathan, Richard)
Determine a method to communicate from in-room controller to LabVIEW (Krishna, Jacob)
Select components from ICA to use in systems (All)

Risks and Areas of Concern
Leveling mechanism design
Use of non-magnetic components (may need to use 300 Series (304/316) stainless steel which may or may not be magnetic)
Resources or Information Required but not Available
Schedule
Finalize positioning system design: Determine final setup for positioning system on tabletop. Primary area of concern is height of laboratory jack used for z-adjustment
Budget (list amount spent and amount remaining)
Spent: $0
Remaining: $1500
Significant purchasing activity expected in next two weeks once ICAs and design details are completed
