Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Stage 1 of testing complete
Results:
PVC exoskeleton was bending and twisting despite being reinforced with three corner brackets and 3 aluminum sheets.
Solution: Redesign our exoskeleton to withstand significantly more force
Clamping mechanism was disorganized, which made it difficult to adjust stiffness
Solution: Design adjustable clamping mechanism to control stiffness of elastic bands
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Able to visualize effects of the leg on our ski boot system
Tested following assumptions:
Will the uneven stiffness distribution around the cuff create a torque on the leg? Will this torque be negligible?
Will the exoskeleton be affected by the load applied? How much force is applied on the exoskeleton?
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.

Use grid lines when recording the video so that we can replicate the movements when calculating necessary stiffness
Use fish scale or high load force gauge to replicate force needed
Provide 3D CAD Models for stage 2 testing
Risks and Areas of Concern
Exoskeleton rigidity and ability to withstand high loads
Elastic Band effects on the leg
Prevent Cuff from moving up and down the leg
