Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Fabricating necessary parts for final design
Switched from using Beaglebone to Raspberry Pi
Cart is currently being CNCed
Assembling tracer wheel
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Finalized design
Constructed a one meter bore
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Get Raspberry Pi to read rotary encoders - Sina, Daniel
Get Arduino to tell Raspberry Pi to take pictures - Arman, Danny, Cesar
Assemble final design - Sina, Arman, Danny, Daniel, Cesar
Construct laser circuit - Arman
Sponsor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Instead of breaking into teams to investigate different ways to get microcontroller to work, we should focus on using Raspberry Pi and figuring out how to read the rotary encoders
Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Think about torsion spring for tracer wheel, we decided to stick with tension spring
Risks and Areas of Concern
Slipping; Addressing with tracer wheel
Major concern is being able to read rotary encoders with Raspberry Pi or getting Arduino to send signal to Raspberry Pi to take picutes
