Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Currently, we have connected the CAMS (Hydraulic Connection) to the cradle. A electrical component was broken on May 28, a new one will be order from a company in Palmdale (closest) on May 29 @ 8:00 am. We have not been able to test due to redesigns.
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Josh- Worked on 2nd draft of report, Built up Project Website, Redesigned CAMS, massive amount of machine shop/fabrication, Designed double battery compartment (none commercially available)
Dev- massive amount of machine shop fabrication, Designed pin-lock mechanism for outriggers, Designed shim placement for outriggers (to reduce endplay when fully extended)
William - massive amount of machine shop fabrication, Contacted and spoke with local hydraulics dealer, planning to take in assembly for assistance.
Romulus - Worked on 2nd Draft of report.
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Josh - Finalize fabrication, to include: installation of pump and battery mount, shims and pull-pins for outriggers, hydraulic mounts, physical stop to limit tilt back
Dev - Finalize fabrication, to include: installation of pump and battery mount, shims and pull-pins for outriggers, hydraulic mounts, physical stop to limit tilt back
