Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.

• • First version of 3D Printed/Custom PCB sensor package finished

  • Drop tests performed Friday (5/10)

    • data was not recorded due to malfunction in wiring

• • Completed PCB design, ordered and received

  • 3D printed first prototype of sensor housing

  • Soldered and assembled instrumentation package, performs as expected

  • Completed test dummy

  • Created Matlab script to verify proper I-beam loading in drop testing procedure

  • Performed several instrumented drop tests w/dummy on Fri. 5/10 (~10 ft)

• • Sponsor viewed dummy drop tests, was pleased with progress. Recommended dummy modifications and continue ironing out test procedure.

  • Sponsor was interested in investigating the possibility of dead reckoning position for the sensors in the package, further simulation needs to be done.
