Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
PVC Dummy is fully spec'ed and parts ordered
Sensor package assembled
Isaiah/Tom are looking for a suitable drop test location
Got first prototype of sensor system functioning, Logs accel values in G's to SD card and prints to phone via bluetooth
Tested system on a 20 minute walk and jumped off a few things, works as intended
Accomplishments from Previous Week
3D Climbing Fall Matlab model created
Tested against 1D to verify using acceleration resultant
Finished dummy design/CAD, verified with Isaiah and ordered parts (ETA late this week)
Sensor package assembled, calibrated, outputting data to phone via Bluetooth
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Purchase Sand for Dummy (Joe)
Fabricate Dummy when PVC arrives late this week (Joe and Kelvin)
Have event detection programmed
Order parts for second prototype
Create and order custom PCB

4/9 Presentation
Concerns about PVC fracture during drop tests
Will pad PVC exterior with foam or encase in a padded material (e.g. wetsuit)
Risks and Areas of Concern
Biggest concern at this time is finding a suitable location for high drop tests
E-mailed Isaiah on 4/14 to request status
Resources or Information Required but not Available
None at this time
Schedule
Dummy fabrication will occur late this week when PVC arrives, overflowing to early next week if necessary
Assuming drop test location is found by engineering
Budget (list amount spent and amount remaining)
$1085.90 Spent, $414.10 Remaining
