Abstract
First we present a new understanding of the interactions between conformers in polymers and explain our model of Dual-Phase interactive coupling to differentiate what happens below Me (molecular weight for entanglement) and above Me. This new interpretation of "entanglements" as a Cross-dual Phase interactive system of conformers is our model to quantitatively understand the rheology of entanglement networks in polymer melts. In this Video-Clip Lecture, VCL #53-part 1, we use the model to make light on the various discrepancies observed experimentally for the heat capacity and the amount of crystallinity.
