AP Physics C - 1st Sem Syllabus

AP Physics C is a second-year course that continues to examine mechanics and introduces the concepts of electricity and magnetism. It is expected that all students will have successfully completed a first-year Physics course and are concurrently enrolled in Calculus. The first semester will be devoted to the study of electromagnetic theory and its applications (Halliday, chapters 21 - 32). During the second semester we will cover topics from classical mechanics (Halliday, chapters 1 – 15). Calculus is used freely in formulating principles and solving problems.  Each student will register for the AP exam in the Fall and take the exam in May with the expectation of scoring a 3 or better.
