FAQs

Q: What should my student wear to perform in the concert?

A: Students should wear plain black dress clothes with an optional "pop of color."  For example, a student could wear black dress pants, a black dress shirt and a brightly colored tie. Or a student could wear black dress pants, a plain black top and a brightly colored scarf, headband, hair clip or jewelry.  Students should dress professionally in their best clothes. Please, no jeans, shorts, athletic attire, t-shirts with writing or flip flops.  School dress code does apply, so short skirts, bare midriffs and bare shoulders are not allowed.  Students wearing inappropriate clothing will be sent home to change. Dress shoes are preferred.  I understand that students are constantly growing and it is hard to keep up. I recommend borrowing from family and friends or visiting The Care Closet.

Q: What time does the concert start?

A: The 6th and 7th grade concert will begin at 6:30 PM and the 8th grade concert will begin at 7:30 PM.  Students should report to the high school choir room 30 minutes before their concert begins.

Q: Does it cost to attend the concert?

A: The concerts are free so please invite all your family and friends!  There will be a box for donations if you would like to help support the chorus program.  We greatly appreciate your support!  All money goes directly toward the purchase of sheet music and technological advancements for the music room.

Q: What happens if my student is sick or there's a family emergency?

A: Please plan ahead! Not having a ride, having to baby-sit, or attending outside-of-school classes or activities will not be excused absences. If there are extenuating circumstances, Mrs. Proper will have the right to make a decision whether an absence is excused, but emergencies do happen. Please notify Mrs. Proper as early as possible if an absence is necessary.
