ICE/IMMIGRATION POLICY:
The Connecticut State Department of Education guidance is “designed to ensure compliance with state and federal laws” and advises schools that the state has no obligation to collect or maintain data on students' immigration status because the Supreme Court has ruled that students have a right to attend public schools regardless of their immigration status.

CDP/High School - Semester 2 - Wednesday, 10/29/25, 7:45 am. (New student orientation Tues, 10/28/25, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm)
ESL Classes - Classes begin Monday, 9/8/2025. East Haven residents get priority seating.
Citizenship Class - Tuesday, 9/9/25, 5:45 pm
GED/NEDP Classes - Wednesday, 9/10/25, 6:00 pm
PLEASE NOTE: Non-East Haven residents must pay a $50 per semester fee to attend classes.

Credit Diploma Program (CDP)

NOTE: Per CT State Department of Education regulations, students must be residents of East Haven and at least 17 years of age to enroll in CDP. Individuals under the age of 18 should contact our program facilitator, Jean Copeland, at (203) 468-3795 to discuss enrollment requirements.
NOTE: New students interested in enrolling must do so by August 25, 2025. New student orientation attendance on Aug 25, 2025 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm is mandatory to review our procedural handbook and complete CSDE mandated appraisal testing prior to beginning class.

The Credit Diploma Program is now accepting registrations for Semester 2, which begins October 29, 2025. If you are interested in enrolling, please call Barbara Kovacs (203) 468-3795 for further information. You must be an East Haven resident for this program, and supply an official signed withdrawal form from your last high school and an official school transcript.
GED classes begin Sept 10, 2025. If you are interested in enrolling, please click HERE to complete your online application and then call (203) 468-3795 for an appointment to take reading and math appraisal tests. Candidates who are 17-18 years of age must be withdrawn from high school for at least 6 months prior to enrolling.
ESL Classes begin Sept 8, 2025 for both beginner and intermediate English language acquisition. Click HERE for class days and time.
Citizenship classes will begin on Sept 9, 2025. If you are interested in becoming a Naturalized US Citizen, click HERE to register for our class.
Classes for the above programs are held onsite at 290 Dodge Ave, East Haven.
We currently do not offer remote learning.
National External Diploma Program can help individuals with developed life skills obtain a high school diploma in a non-traditional setting. Information sessions are by appointment only at East Haven Adult Education beginning in September.
