Due to new State Department of Education regulations, enrollment for individuals under the age of 18 years of age, should contact the Adult Education Facilitator Joe Ferraiolo, to determine their eligibility. Please call 203.468.3795
The Credit Diploma Program is now accepting applications for the summer semester, which will start on June 15, 2017. If you are interested in joining these classes you need to call East Haven Adult Education and make an appointment. You must be able to supply an official sign-out sheet from your last high school (you must be an East Haven resident for this program), and an official transcript listing all courses you have passed and completed. Prospective students must have the registration process completed by June 8, 2017.
GED summer classes will begin on June 19 - July 27, 2017 .
EHALC is now accepting applications for both the day and evening GED classes which will begin on June 9, 2017. If you are interested in joining these classes you need to call East Haven Adult Education and make an appointment to pick up an application and schedule your diagnostic testing. The diagnostic test includes both a reading and math appraisal, which will determine placement within one of our formal classes.
ESL Classes will resume on September 18, 2017.
Beginning on September, 2017. EHALC will begin instruction in both beginner and intermediate English language acquisition. Students can begin registering for for both the Beginners or Intermediate classes on September 18, 2017. Students can choose either day and evening classes. Please check our Resource Page (ESL - English as a Second Language) for times and class dates.
Citizenship classes will resume on September 19, 2017 at the Hagaman Library on Main Street. If you are interested in becoming a Naturalized Citizen, you can find additional information on the Resource Page at the top of the page.
National External Diploma Program can help individuals with developed life skills obtain a high school diploma in a non-traditional setting. Information sessions are held the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the East Haven Adult Learning Center, beginning on September 13, 2017. You may also call our guidance counselor John Albis for more information.
Allied Health Classes - both on site and online. The onsite class began on September 18, 2017. East Haven Adult Learning Center is now offering online-learning courses in the health education field. These courses are highly interactive and provide students with an enriched learning experience. Check out the online E-learning course tab in the menu section of this site for the next class offering. Registration begins on August 16, 2017.
The East Haven Adult Learning Center offers a wide variety of classes for fun and personal enjoyment. Check out these class offerings in the Resource Section at the top of the page for our spring enrichment classes. Registration begins on August 25, 2017.
