"6th grade G.T. Miners Visit U.T. Austin"

Participating in the "Explore U.T. 2018", were the following 6th graders from Seco Mines Elementary: Jacob Ortiz, AnaKaren Rocha, Chloe Rodriguez, and Michelle Rodriguez from Mr. J. Rodriguez and Mrs. L. Garcia-ZuaZua classes. This annual event aims to inform students, parents, teachers, and community members from across the state about the importance of seeking a higher education. Students were able to experience and learn of the different careers that colleges offer around the country. The highlight of the visit was having the opportunity participate in hands-on demonstrations and experiments! Thank you to our G.T. Teacher, Mrs. Anita Rodriguez, and G.T. teachers who chaperoned the event held on Saturday, March 3.
