About the ensemble:

Jazz Ensemble is an advanced wind and percussion performing ensemble at Chesterton HS. Students are selected for this group through auditions in the spring semester of each school year. Students study and perform music from the swing, latin, funk, and rock genres and engage in solo improvisation. 

Jazz Ensemble hosts two annual performances in the spring semester: Big Band Bash in January/February and All That Jazz in May featuring guest artists from around the United States. 

Jazz Ensemble is a year-long course. Students must enroll in a concert band or instrumental ensemble to participate in Jazz Ensemble.
