FAQ
How much does Directory Burst cost?
Directory Burst is free to try for as long as you want. With our free trial, you can create a directory, add students to it, and even share it with up to 10 users. When you decide to publish your directory to your school, we then charge a flat, affordable annual fee, based upon the size of your school. For more details, please visit our Pricing Page.
Can parents in our school update their own directory information?
Yes. Largely to ensure that random strangers are not editing your directory, we do require that you start by providing Directory Burst with a basic set of information for your students (e.g., student names, classrooms, grades, and parent email addresses). We suggest using a spreadsheet to make a simple table of this information -- in fact, your school can probably create that for you easily. Then, you can decide what fields in the directory you want to make editable -- in other words, you can ask parents to update their own information or choose to import everything it yourself.
Can we print our directory using Directory Burst?
Yes. We make it easy to export a printable version of your directory, though for security purposes, only the directory administrator has access to this export capability.
Can anybody access my school directory?
No. For security purposes, only the people who you invite to your directory will be granted access, and each person must do so with a unique login and password. Of course, we do make it really easy to invite all of the parents in your school to join your directory.
Do you have a mobile app?
We do have an Android app, but an iPhone app is still in the works. Send us an email to support@directoryburst.com if you'd like us to prioritize this higher. In the meantime, you can already access Directory Burst from the browser of your phone or tablet device.
I have a great suggestion for making Directory Burst better. Where do I send it?
Send us an email to support@directoryburst.com. We love feedback!
I think that I found a bug in Directory Burst. Where do I send it?

Who is the team behind Directory Burst?
We are a small, distributed team that has run successful Silicon Valley companies. We're building Directory Burst on the side, just because we saw an unmet need in our own local schools.
