Mission: "I am committed to students leaving my course able to understand that language learning is a dynamic process as well as a performance-based skill; practicing the language involves consistent risk-taking and application of class content to real-life contexts."----S. Perez

Vision: "I strive to create a comfortable, yet challenging climate of instruction through coaching and facilitating language learning. "

Students in my classes read, write, listen, and speak in Spanish in order to perform language functions.

As an outcome, my students:

• are more knowledgeable about the vastness of the Spanish-speaking world/culture.

• make connections and comparisons to their own culture.

• have a better understanding of the value and commitment to language learning.
