To letter in choir, a student must participate in extra singing opportunities that are “above and beyond” the basic requirements for the class.
Opportunities include:
Participating in an honor choir (Three Rivers Honor Choir, Dorian Vocal Festival, SE MN Honors Choir, etc)
Singing in a supplemental choir (Minor Details, Treble Choir, community choir, church choir, etc)
Perform at Solo and Ensemble (1 point per group or solo)
Perform at Pops & Pie
Perform with the Senior Ensemble
Audition for All-State
Attend All-State
Accompany for the choir
Attend a choir concert outside of class time (.25 of a point for each concert)
Student must bring in the choir program and highlight/circle their favorite 3 pieces to earn their points
Students must earn four points in any combination to receive a letter. A student may only earn one letter per year.
