State by State Comparison
Choose a state to research and compare with Oregon--You will be at a table group and will need to one state from each of the following regions. Northeastern United States, South Eastern United States, The Midwestern United States, The Southern United States, or the Intermountain/Western United States.
Find the following
1. Driver License Requirements
Age, fees, permits, tests, restrictions etc
Auto Insurance Requirements
2. State Crash Data--overall and then teen specifically
3. Teen Driving Issues
4. Other interesting details or issues.
PART 2 & 3: Driver Education Podcast Assignment Introduction
Your team will have to create an audio file that will serve as a podcast for one of the following topics:
1. What makes a bad driver?
2. What makes a good driver?
3. Things that bother you about other drivers that you see on the road.
4. What are the things that are mandatory maintenance things that have to be done to the average car?
5. The new technology in cars is amazing?
You can choose other topics with instructor approval, you can combine topics.
PART 1: Your Small-Group Brainstorming:
