The IB Diploma Program (IB DP) is designed to engage students in a comprehensive educational experience that hones work habits, skills as learners, fosters interdisciplinary research, and prepares students for global citizenship. Students in our IB magnet program will spend their 9th and 10th grade years gaining knowledge, skills, and work habits in preparation for the IB DP during their 11th and 12th grade years. Students spend their junior and senior years immersed in studies and experiences that will ready them for college and beyond while working towards the IB Diploma. Students who are enrolled in the DCHS IB Diploma Program are highly motivated students of various backgrounds, abilities, and interests.
Research suggests that there are many benefits to choosing the Diploma Program (DP). The program aims to develop students who have excellent breadth and depth of knowledge – students who flourish physically, intellectually, emotionally, and ethically.
