Upcoming Auditions for Winter Sports Games will be held on August 26th during Access.
Students have the opportunity to audition to sing the National Anthem at select sporting events throughout the year. Auditions will be held 2 times throughout the year - once in August and once in November.
Students will be accessed (by a panel of music teachers and administrators) on:
Tone Quality
Confidence
Volume (this does not go into the final score, but is noted so that decisions can be made regarding which venue might be best suited for this singer)
**Students will be automatically disqualified from performance opportunities if they sing wrong notes or wrong words.**
Students must be prepared to sing a cappella and give themselves their starting pitch. Performances at the games must be exactly how students performed in the Audition. Students must dress according to school and district policy for their performances.
Students will have the opportunity to inform the panel of conflicts, but may not request specific games.
In the fall season, the top 5 auditionees will get a football game with the top scorer earning the Homecoming Game and the second highest scorer earning the Senior Night Football game. Additional sporting events will be given per committee decision and in accordance with conflicts given.
