Important things to remember on your first day…..
- We are located in the FCE Cafeteria on the side of the school near the bus loop. Before and After School and Full Days take place here unless noted otherwise. We will send out parent communication via email if we need to move from the cafeteria for any reason.
- Currently, parents are not allowed in the building, so please walk your child to the front door and pick up from the front door letting us know a few minutes before you arrive.
- Each guardian and authorized pick-up has their own personalized PIN, please do not share your PIN with other authorized pick-ups or guardians. Each PIN is listed under the personal tab on your SCW account.
- Please be prepared to show your ID at all times. We work different shifts and have different staff working at different times, so we may ask for your ID when getting to know you!
- Authorized individuals need to be 18 years or older to drop off or pick up your child.
- Please notify staff of any medications your child may have prior to them attending. We will need the proper forms filled out and medication on hand. If you need a medication form, click here.
Payments and Calendars
- Calendars for B.A.S.E. are due the Wednesday prior to the week you need care. You can still sign up after this time but a $2 fee per child per session charge will be added.
- You can use the unscheduled or drop-in option if you need care the day of. We do ask that you notify us first to confirm that we have space. In this case, a $4 fee per child per session will be added for before and after school, and a $5 fee will be added for all full days.
- Signup and Payments are done through the SchoolCare Works parent portal.

Things to Remember
- Please notify us if your child is signed up and will not be attending their B.A.S.E. session. Failure to do so will require us to contact you to confirm the whereabouts of your child. In the instance that we are unable to reach you regarding the whereabouts of your child, we may contact the authorities to ensure their safety.
- We do NOT provide a morning and afternoon snack, so we encourage parents to pack extras for students. Students must also bring a water bottle from home.
Student Information
- Students may use our IPADS on full days to use during our technology time. (We are NOT allowing technology or toys from home at this time).
- Students must ask teacher to go to specific areas including bathrooms.
- We ask that they be respectful and follow the Habits of Character at FCE.
- Students are expected to follow school rules while playing in the gym. Failure to do so, may result in loss of gym privileges.
- Students may eat their own snack at any time, but these snacks need to be eaten at a snack table.
- We do not have any restrictions on what a student can bring for lunch. We do have a designated peanut free table during our lunch time on full days.
- At FCE B.A.S.E. we encourage students to solve problems for themselves. However, in instances where they need help or feel unsafe we ask that they do bring these to our attention so we can offer them support with these issues.
504/IEP Plans (Why B.A.S.E needs this information)
Important Information
Delayed Schedule: Unless otherwise notified, our schools that operate on a delayed schedule will start 90 MINUTES later than the normal start time. Our program is on a 90-minute delayed schedule in order to ensure that staff members arrive safely, children are adequately supervised, and Grounds personnel are able to clear parking lots and walkways in a timely manner. The program opens at 8:00am when the school is on a 90-minute delayed schedule.
Cancellation of After School Activities: When after school activities are cancelled, our after school child care programs continue to operate on a normal schedule, usually. If we close, we will notify you.
Early Dismissal Schedule: On an early dismissal schedule, the B.A.S.E. program closes at the same time the school dismisses all students in order to ensure the safety of staff members and children. Please be sure emergency contact information is current and make prior arrangements for your child on inclement weather days.
School Closure: If our school is closed for the day, all programs and functions occurring in the building, including the B.A.S.E. program, are closed for the day.
Absences / Refunds / Schedule Changes: In order to ensure adequate staffing and keep our tuition rates affordable, we do not issue refunds or credits (applying dollars paid for absent days toward future charges), except for significant hardships such as extended illnesses, loss of employment, or family emergencies. Parents may add days after the scheduling cutoff if there is space available, and at a higher rate as outlined in the itemized fee schedule.
District Declared Emergency Closure Days (Snow Days, Facility Emergencies, etc): If the B.A.S.E. program closes due to District Declared Emergency Closure, parents who have paid for childcare services that day may apply unused monies toward future childcare payments. These monies must be used in full by the end of the school year. If the number of emergency closure days exceeds our budgeted projections, the program may need to raise tuition rates the following year to cover the revenue loss. These days do not accumulate from year to year, nor are they transferable to other families.
