Meet the Teach

My name is Hannelee Farrell. This is my fourth year at Dayton. I have a BA in Education: Middle School Science and a MA in Education: Technology in the Classroom. I recently received my STEM certification from the National Institute of STEM education and will be finishing a second MA in STEM Leadership.

I am a life-long learner. Not only do I actively pursue higher education but I also am a voracious reader. I read all genres. I love history and historical events which has prompted me to take a camera and tour Washington State taking pictures. Through my pictures, I am collecting images of the different geologic regions within Washington State. It is very fascinating to me. That fascination finds its way into my classroom and lessons.

I am married with two children and three dogs. My son is 26 and my daughter is 18. My oldest dog is 14 and his name is Jethro. He's a lab. I have two German Shorthair Pointers. My female's name is Pepper and she is 5. My male's name is Duke and he is 7 months. My husband uses the dogs to hunt birds. Our family loves to camp, hike, and fish. We begin camping in March and will go up to October. Each season has its own special activities. Winter is spent snowboarding with the kids. Spring and summer and fall find us camping, fishing or me working on my garden and yard. My classroom has fruit trees year round. I grow banana, pomegranate, lime, lemon, tangerine, and just last year I added fig.
