Dear Parents:
We are so excited to be back in the classroom!
This is going to be a very different year in that students will only be in class 2 days a week and will need to complete lessons online the other days of the week. A new learning platform called Canvas will be used for remote learning days. Students can find this platform under DCS bookmarks on their chromebook. There is going to be a learning curve for parents, teachers, and students to become familiar and adept at this program. However, with lots of practice and patience, we will be able to do this. All information that you need will be in your child's Canvas course.
We believe this year will go fairly smoothly but are encouraging the students to email us with any problems they encounter. Please remind them that we will have the other half of students in class on their remote days so we may not be able to respond to their emails right away. Please extend patience our way as we are learning how to most efficiently teach face to face and help remote students at the same time.
