2018
Year 6
This Trip: Andrew, Eric, Joe, Jim, Chris, Chad, Dasan, David, Nick
Being an OG, Joe got to throw the dart this year
Taking bets on where the dart will hit after finishing breakfast.
Preparing the banner for its 2nd year. Gotta tape over last year's town.
Here he is getting the blindfold. We don't want him deciding where we go (he's a sharpshooter)
Lookout Birchwood, we're coming!
A strike! Actually hit the name of the town, which is a first in Dart Trip History
It would help if you actually looked at the map fellas
Joe filling in the banner so everyone behind us knows where we're going. (Good or Bad?)
Playing some cards as the miles pass
Eric enjoying his time
Playing some darts
Don't worry Dasan, you'll get 'em next time.
Chris patiently waiting at his personal bus stop
Sign may be crooked but she's holding strong
Found an awesome place for lunch in BRF called Donna K's.
The vibe was great
Outside Leinenkugel's there was plenty of snow
The river that supplied the water for the beer
Tour Onward!
Listening intently on the history. History of beer
Chris is in heaven
Happy with our tour. Thanks for taking the photo Eric
Checking out the merch
Samples! We spent lots of time in their massive gift shop and bought plenty of coozies
The sun went down
So back to the RV to head to our destination. Just over an hour away
I see it...
We made it! Eric again is behind the lens
First stop: Bluegill bar and liquor store. Great neon
We got hooked on Birchwood immediately
We fit right in
Cheers Chris
David and Chad looking great
Shot some darts again
The locals always wonder what a group of 9 guys is doing in their small town, and we're always happy to explain. This is Garbage (self-proclaimed name). We'll see him again later in the story.
Off to the next spot. Parking on Main St wasn't the best idea for the RV so we went to see what other places had to offer. Thanks for the great time Bluegill!
Next stop was Fernwood. It was literally in someone's basement. (See house on right, and neons lower left)
Their dog was obviously there. Was an absolutely awesome place. Low ceilings but a great view of Birch Lake. You don't see many dive bars like this. Hopefully we can go back sometime.
Fernwood's parking lot wasn't the best for our RV so we settled on the next place, the Pizza Den
Where we danced the night away, and hung out with "millionaire" Garbage some more.
And for some reason went on the roof. (I'm assuming it's because they found a ladder. If Joe finds a ladder, he's going up)
We were able to park the RV overnight and finished off the night strong. Pizza Den, you were a wonderful host, thanks for the hospitality.
All in all it was another great trip. Birchwood is a great town if you're ever in the area!
