Math Idea - Stop Motion App to Demonstrate Understanding of Sum of Angles
@Mischellemanning "Today my Geometry students did their first ever Stop Motion Animation in #Keynote to show that The Sum of the Interior Angles of a Triangle is 180 degrees. They even included some line drawing animation, and used the built in export as an animated gif."
Rational Functions by @MrsKemper
(download and open in Numbers)
This learning experience is designed for Algebra 2 learners to engage in an exploration of relationships in rational functions. They will organize what they know about the rational parent function, then collaborate with a classmate to use coding to model a function. Through teamwork, communication, and critical thinking, the students will continue to experience the abstract concept that is a rational function.
Graphing Quadratic Equations by @MrsKemper
(download and open in Numbers)
This learning experience is designed for Algebra 1 learners to engage in an exploration of graphing quadratic equations. They will analyze a real-life application of parabolic graphing, learn the process to graph quadratic equations, complete a graphic organizer related to the quadratic parent function, and apply their knowledge of key features of the graphs.
Learning Challenge Series with Discussion Guide and Workbook

@BenMountz Nothing new; just a more refined (and less jerky) version of my #AR Hawaii Island topo map made in @ARMakrApp. Elevation projection and reference marker stack definitely helps with contour line layer placement. Using Keynote, Yes, and then imported layers into @ARMakrApp. Drew / traced each layer in Keynote, and then exported as PNGs with transparent background. Inserted onto planes in ARMakr. The vertical elevation is exaggerated by about a factor of 3. But the dotted-line tick marks on the elevation projection were my reference for spacing out the layers. If you put a to-scale elevation projection as your reference, those marks can help space out your layers.
The FAB @PaulHamilton8 showcases 32 different tutorials of how to use ARMakr app for basketball analysis (science/math), water cycle and more - really the limit is your imagination. Check out his Twitter feed too :)
AR Chemistry Flash Cards with ARkit: if you know coding, you can always develop your own augmented reality apps with ARKit. This video shows how a developer used Apple’s image recognition and tracking framework to create AR chemistry flash cards.
I LOVE this idea - so many possibilities - truly a trip down "memory lane" - can you imagine this in an English or History class?
A great idea for Keynote or Pages on an IPad - just insert placeholders!
OR how about using in Book Creator?
I adore @BenMountz - HS Physics teacher who also teaches digital storytelling & design. He is a master of keynote hacks and I learn so much from him - here's the link to his Keynote on this topic - feel free to make a copy.
