About Mrs. Bobowski

Since I was a little girl, I always wanted to be a teacher. I received my bachelor of education degree from Valparaiso University in Indiana and my master's degree in reading from Northern Illinois University. I have taught for 31 years, and I have taught in district 64 for the past 18 years. I have taught kindergarten through 4th grade throughout my teaching career. If you ask me which grade is my favorite to teach, then I would be hard pressed to answer. I always love the age that I am currently teaching, but I do hold a special place in my heart for the younger ones!

In addition to teaching, I am the proud mother of 3 children: Brayden(senior), Tyler (sophomore), and Lindsay (7th grade) as well as a 125 pound furry Bouvier named Maximus. As a family, we are constantly running in many directions. My oldest, Brayden, can often be found on the stage performing in the latest play/musical or delivering a speech for the school debate team. Tyler and Lindsay are both quite familiar with playing percussion and piano as well as playing soccer and baseball. In our spare time, we enjoy exploring the country in our travel trailer. Our latest camping destinations this summer were to Wisconsin and Michigan, where we combined camping with many different college visits.

Some of my favorites:

Favorite Foods: lasagna, Chinese, pizza

Favorite Dessert: Anything with chocolate!!! (brownies, chocolate chip cookies, to name a few)

Favorite Thing to Do: Reading, watching my kids' events, camping
