Unit 16: Newton's Laws
Newton's 1st Law - The Law of Inertia = an object will remain at rest or in motion unless an unbalanced force acts on it.
Here are a few demonstrations of Newton's 1st Law...

Newton's 2nd Law - The force on an object is equal to its Mass multiplied by its Acceleration
Here's six different "world record" jumps that demonstrate projectile motion: Travis Pastrana in a car, Team Hot Wheels in a truck, Robbie Maddison jumping a motorcycle for distance and for height, Levi Levallee on a snowmobile, and a dual jump with a motorcycle and a snowmobile (here's the helmetcam view.)
A gymnastics accident. Real or fake?
Ice falling off of a roof forms a nice parabola on the way down.
The view from the bomb bay doors is a good example of projectile motion.
Shopping Cart Fail An excellent demonstration of inertia.
Unloading a truck with Newton's 1st Law.
Newton's 3rd Law - For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction
Newton's 3rd Law Demonstration This demonstration of Newton's 3rd Law can be thought of as a low speed gun firing a large bullet, illustrating the concept of "kickback." And here's a collection of people unprepared for the massive kickback of a huge gun--Newton's 3rd Law in action!
DJ's failed stage dive demonstrates Newton's 3rd Law.
Monster Truck Tug-of-War. Find the tension in the tow strap.
Pilot pours a glass of iced tea while doing a barrel-roll without spilling a drop!
Water trapped in a double-paned window of a moving bus.
Talented (crazy?) helicopter pilot takes inertia/momentum into account when delivering Christmas trees. (And the perspective from the helicopter.)
Trampoline is an example of Newton's third law.
Parkour-style stunt (gif) demonstrates the independence of translational and rotational motion.
Punting a soccer ball from the back of a flatbed truck demonstrates independence of x and y motion.
An astronaut aboard the ISS demonstrates acceleration as the space station does a "reboost" burn.
