Sensei (teacher) Jason Davis began his martial arts training in 1990. He has trained in Shotokan Karate, Tang Soo Do, and Judo/Jujutsu. He has competed successfully in tournaments and competitions in each of the above arts. While all of these experiences have been enriching, Jason's focus is on Danzan Ryu Jujutsu and Judo. Jason attained his AJJF Yodan (4th degree black belt) in Dan Zan Ryu Jujutsu, training under co-sensei Ward Melenich and Sohn Wehseler. Jason is also certified in Seifukujitsu, the healing aspect of Danzan Ryu. In additon to teaching Jujutsu at UMD, he currently trains and assists at the Kuroinukan & Duluth Judo Club. Jason is a UMD and UMN graduate and also employed by UMD.
