Inquiry Based Learning

My teaching style is inspired by inquiry-based learning. I want my students to get comfortable with struggle as a normal part of learning and I try not to rush in to rescue students from going through the process.

What: In inquiry-based learning, teachers use questions, problems and situations to help students learn through individual thought and investigation. Instead of simply presenting facts, the teacher encourages students to talk about a problem and draw on their intuition to understand it. The teacher cultivates a learning environment and helps students explore it through questions and experiences.

Why: Inquiry-based learning promotes a deeper understanding of content, makes learning rewarding and builds initiative and self-direction in students.
