What should I bring to class?

Preferably a 3-ring binder for your chapter note packets and some blank paper for homework
Your textbook (or use this PDF of the book!) ... I'll be veering away from using the textbook this year, so you may not need this information after all!
Your calculator (see below for specifics)

What kind of calculator do I need?

How are things graded in here?

What's your late work policy?

>1 day late = 60% credit
All late homework from a chapter must be turned in before the chapter test for any final credit.

Do you offer extra credit???

I rarely offer extra credit. IF I do then it's available to the entire class OR it's a prize for a competition. Please do not ask for extra credit :)
"Million Words or Less" --> Parent/Guardian extra credit assignment!

What are rules on phones, bathroom, etc.?

If we're talking about something math related in class, you should NOT be working/looking at your Chromebook.
No phones! In down times at the end of class, I encourage you to actually talk with your classmates at an acceptable noise level :)
If you need to go to the bathroom during class, we are implementing the new digital hall passes this year (SmartPass),
- As long as it's not in the middle of me teaching or we're about to discuss something very important, I'll typically let you go.

AP Stats Exam Information:

The 2026 AP Stats exam will be Thursday, May 7th at 12:00PM.
The cost of the exam is about $99. If you qualify for free/reduced lunch, then the cost is much cheaper!
I will give you my honest opinion about your chances of earning at least a 3.
Research what score you would need on the AP exam to earn college credit from whatever colleges you are applying to to see if it's even worth taking the exam.
This year you must register for any AP Exam by early in November.
You can register after November up to mid-March for an ADDITIONAL $40 ($137 in total).
Lastly, if you register but then change your mind later, AP keeps $40 of your registration fee.
We will practice during class for nearly a month leading up to the exam.
I will provide you with a binder full of tips/hints, review material, practice questions, and practice tests.
