Personal Fitness is a new physical fitness class here at Conemaugh Township High School! This class will help students learn about the components of physical fitness: Cardio-respiratory endurance, muscle strength, muscle endurance, flexibility and body composition and why they are important. The purpose of this course is to acquire knowledge of physical fitness concepts, understand the influence of lifestyle on health and fitness, and begin to develop an optimal level of fitness. The wide variety of activities that will be included in this course is sure to meet the needs to each student. Students will participate in a variety of exercises to help better their personal fitness levels. At the end of this course, students should be able to apply what they have learned to their everyday lives. This includes making healthy decisions, knowing multiple lifetime activities, and understanding the importance of living a healthy and active lifestyle.
