Step 0: Take a careful look at the No Texting While Driving sample app page. Your page should look similar to this!
- Create a new page in your Google Site specifically for the app page for the app. Each app you build will have its own page.
- Download the apk and aia files from App Inventor. See the Publishing Your Apps page for instructions. Yes, you may have to read the instructions.
- apk - Choose Build -> App (save .apk to my computer)
- aia - Choose Project -> My Projects, select the project, choose Project -> Export Select Project (.aia) to My Computer
- Upload the apk and aia files to your app page. See step 2 under Create the portfolio page for your app
- Create the QR code for your app and add to your page by following the instructions under Create QR code for the app
- Take a screenshot of your blocks and post on the app page.
- A screenshot is a picture of your computer's desktop. On a Mac, hit Command-Shift-3 and a new png file will be saved to your desktop. If you would like to just select a part of the screen on a Mac Command-Shift-4 can do that. For Windows, see this web page. For linux, search for the screen shot application, launch, and follow the instructions.
- Take a screenshot of your app running in the emulator and post on the app page.
- Add a description of your app, add your name as the developer, and add a link to the .aia file.
Your app as well as the app page should look at least a little professional. So when you are designing the app make sure that it is something you want to show others.
