Weekly 4 box Quiz

WHEN:

Each Thursday or Friday the students will have a 4 box quiz.

HOW:

Each student will have a quiz book that has 40 blank 4 box quizzes, one for each week of the school year:

WHAT:

The 1st two boxes will be Math, Science or Social Studies questions that reflect the lessons taught during the week.

The 3rd box will be a place for the student to reflect on the things they felt good about in math, science or social studies this week and a place for them to ask help in math, science or social studies from the past week..

The 4th box will be a place for them to tell me anything that might be affecting them in school - like distractions, mom's having a baby, or they are getting better from a cold but still feel tired.

Why:

An opportunity for information about progress, need for challenge or support.

An opportunity for feedback about progress.

An opportunity to keep a record of growth over the year.

An opportunity for them to share what is going on because it can be hard in a shared classroom to talk about things that are personal.
