CV (Feb 2026)
I am the Manager of the Poverty and Equity Global Practice in the Latin America and the Caribbean Region at the World Bank, where I oversee work on poverty reduction, inequality, jobs, inclusive growth, and statistical modernization. I am also a Research Fellow at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA) and Mexico’s National Research System (SNI).
My work is grounded in public and development economics, with a focus on labor markets, human capital, shocks, and the distributional impacts of economic reforms. My research has been recognized with the 2024 IZA Award on Innovative Research in the Economics of Climate Change (IRECC) and the 2018 National Award in Public Finance from the Mexico's Congressional Budget Office of Mexico.
