Reading Street

I utilize a blend of balanced literacy and the Pearson Reading Street reading program in my classroom. Instruction is carefully aligned to common core anchor standards.

Each unit's weekly concepts are introduced and explored through rich, structured conversations.

• We develop complex content knowledge and vocabulary throughout the week's lessons.
• We expand on a single concept with a combination of engaging literature and nonfiction.
• The goal is to build better readers in all content areas.
