Staff

Kevin McDonald - Administrator

Reporting to the Human Services Committee of the Columbia County Board of Supervisors, the Administrator provides leadership and overall direction for the Office for the Aging operations. The OFA Team consists of four senior team leaders and a range of skilled professional and support staff.

Michele Kraham - Assistant Administrator

The assistant Administrator is responsible for the planning and coordinating of agency services programs for seniors. The Assistant Administrator also assists in developing and monitory policy and procedures in accordance with programmatic and regulatory guidelines.

Ken Schomaker - Financial Operations Manager

All aspects of our financial management are handled by our Financial Operations Manager and an Administrative Assistant. They are responsible for all consumer accounts, billing, state, federal and county funds, contracts, vouchering and payroll functions.

Amy Anderson - Nutrition Services Coordinator

Nutrition services are a large part of our daily operation of the Office for the Aging. Meals are made and provided to many residents in the county either at our congregate sites or through meals-on-wheels. In addition to our coordinator, we have a Registered Dietician and a Nutrition Program Assistant on staff. There are approximately 20 employees who prepare and help deliver meals and assist with operations in our central kitchen in Philmont.

Additional Staff

Case management for our consumers is handled by our four Case Managers and an Aging Services Program Manager. These staff provide direct services to all the consumers we serve. The Office for the Aging also employs two clerks, two transportation drivers and kitchen staff consisting of 21 full and part-time employees.

Volunteers

An essential part of the OFA nutrition program, volunteers are critical to serving our consumers. Without the active, reliable involvement of committed volunteers, we would be unable to reach the number of residents that we currently serve.

Advisory Council

The Office for the Aging Advisory Council consists of representatives from each town and each ward in the City of Hudson, as well as other agencies throughout the county. Advisory Council members are an integral part of planning for effective county-wide service delivery and inter-agency coordination.
