Why the 20?
Establish what we already know: profile charts on a timeline on the back wall
Research:
1) Begin by reading about the history of the 20 and answer the following questions
- What is the objective of the site?
- What are the potential objections to Jackson remaining on the $20
- Why have women been so rare on US currency and coins?
2) Read each profile add bullets to their profile sheet at the back of the room
3) Do additional research that will help you make the argument that the women you are researching made the biggest impact on American society WITHIN HER TIME PERIOD, not necessarily overall.
Day 2:
- Finish research and present with 20 min. left in class
- Post-research voting
