Newscasts: Quickly prepare a short news story (no more than 2 minutes) that tells the story of your topic. You can either do this as a newscast (“Breaking news today, France has offered to sell a large mass of land to the US…”) or as a modern story that is looking back (“Tonight we are going to look back at one of the most incredible real estate deals of all times – the Louisiana Purchase…”).

Requirements:

• A whiteboard with 4-6 CONCISE bullet points that summarizes your topic – what are the BIG TAKE AWAYS from this event
• At least one quote, figure/statistic or primary source related to your “story” (use the textbook)
• Clear characters/roles
