SUMMER RUNS START JUNE 24TH AT COCALICO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL/TRACK PARKING LOT

Race times may vary by school: Jr High Boys/Girls 4:15,  Varsity Boys 4:45, Varsity Girls 5:15

Jr High races begin around 4:15pm, followed by varsity races. Some schools run the JH boys and girls together, others run separate races.

*We will not leave the meet until all races are completed and scores have been calculated. Return time varies by meet (we could be as early as 6:30 or as late at 7:30). Coach will send a Remind text with an ETA once we are on our way back to the high school.

**BRING WATER TO PRACTICE!** It is important to stay hydrated throughout the season. 

What you need to know about away meets:

*Dismissal times are posted above and also on Schoology. It is YOUR responsibility to leave class at dismissal time. Your teacher will not remind you and the bus will leave as scheduled.

*Upon dismissal, head to the HS like you usual and get changed in the HS locker rooms.

*Don't forget your uniform, socks, sneakers and any layers that may be necessary. Check the weather and pack accordingly. 

*BRING WATER

*Junior high athletes are expected and encouraged to remain at the meet to support the varsity runners. If there are circumstances that require you to leave early, please communicate with coach. 

*A written note is required to go home with anyone other than your parent/guardian.

*Return times vary from meet to meet. Coach will send a Remind text with an ETA once we are on our way back to the high school.

The Jr. High Calendar link shows practice times, meet dates and other important XC events. Please be aware that the calendar is subject to change and this online calendar will be the most up to date version at all times. Be sure to check it often.

*Runners, you will need to remember the following flag colors and their meanings for all races.

RED = turn left

YELLOW = turn right

BLUE = go straight

*Medical - If you've been to the doctor recently, please see the document in the Extras link to see if you need a doctor's note clearing you to return to practice. If you are unsure, ask a coach.
