Three things:
1. Family : My wife's name is Connie...we've been married since 1992. My kids' names are Anna (18yrs. old), Lauren (16), and Reed (13).
2. Teaching : I've taught for 20 years...5 years at Garfield Elementary teaching 4th grade....6 years at ASI teaching 7th grade AB... 1 year at Buchanan HS teaching World History to sophmores and Geography to freshman...2 years at Granite Ridge teaching 7th and 8th grade AB...and 6 years at Clovis North HS teaching World History!
3. Coaching : I have been coaching track and cross-country my entire teaching career. At Alta Sierra, our boys cross-country team earned four CVAL titles, and our girls earned six straight titles. In track the girls were the 2002 and 2004 CVAL champions, and the boys won the 2006 title. I assisted at Buchanan during the cross-country and track seasons in 2006-2007. In 2007 I was blessed with the opportunity to start up the cross-country and track & field programs at Clovis North High School! Our CN Girls XC Team has won CMAC titles in '08 and '09, their first TRAC title in '11 and again in '13, Valley Championships (DIII) in '09, (DII) '10 and '11, and (DI) '14. The girls have qualified for the State Championships every year, since year two. The top finish so far has been 4th ('14). Our CN Boys XC Team won their first CMAC title in 2009 and were runners up in the 2010 and 2011 Valley Championships (DII) as well as in 2013-14 in DI. They won back to back TRAC titles in 2013-14. Our boys have qualified for the State Championships for each of the last five seasons (highest finish, 8th in '13). Our CN Girls Track & Field Team was Div. II Valley Champions in 2009! Now headed by Richard Brazil, the ladies won their first TRAC title in 2013 and repeated in 2014. They placed in the top 3 at the Valley Championships in the 2012 and 2013 seasons. In 2014, the girls won their first Track & Field DI title! I am now assisting the track team as the distance coach.
