Library Check-Out Policies

• • Students are allowed to check out 3 books at a time, unless they have outstanding fines from BMS or another school.

  • If a student has library fines, they can only check out 1 book until the fine is paid in full.

  • Books are checked out for two weeks at a time.  Students are allowed to renew books one time.  

  • Due dates are stamped inside the cover of the book.  Late fines of $.05 per day are assessed if books are not renewed or turned in by the due date.  

• In addition to late fines, fines are also assessed for torn pages, lost/damaged covers, water damage, etc.

Rules & Expectations

1.  Use quiet voices at all times & be respectful of everyone

2.  Take Care of our Books

3.  Pass from LA teacher required upon entry

4.  NO food, drinks, or GUM allowed

5.  Computers must be used for educational purposes only

6.  Return materials to their proper place or bring them to the front desk 

7.  Return books on time

8.  Pay library fines promptly
