All About Me!!!

This is my 23rd year in education.  I was born and raised in Cleveland County.  After college, I got married and lived in Raleigh for 4 years, where I taught at a year round school.  I moved back to Shelby in 2007 and began teaching 8th grade at Burns Middle School.  I have been the Media Specialist for BMS since 2016.  

My family and I attend Eastside Baptist Church in Shelby.  In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time with family, going to the beach, and traveling.  I have 2 daughters, Makenzie (17) and Madison (15).  We also have two English Bulldogs, Mack, who is retired as the BHS Mascot and Ode, who is the current BHS Mascot.
