This web page is intended to supply Cardinal John Foley School Community with superior access to informational resources.
Academics:Â
The Media Center is a place to find information, ideas and inspiration. The Archdiocesan Library Guidelines are taught to all grades.
K to 3rd grade visits the Media Center once a week. In these primary grades, there is an emphasis on learning how to utilize the library and a focus on library vocabulary. Manipulatives are utilized to reinforce the students understanding of the curriculum.
Students will also be exposed to maker-space activities throughout the course of the year.
In grades 4th through 8th, research and evaluating websites is emphasized. Noodle Tools is used extensively for outlines, research, and thesis statements. Students in these grades check out books for approximately two weeks.
