HELP is an acronym for the four basic philosophical concepts that underlie our program
H is for Health: Regular physical activity is essential to sound health and wellness. Health is something all people value. Health can be enhanced by a lifestyle that includes regular physical activity.
E is for Everyone: Every student can benefit from lifetime fitness and physical activity. It is not necessary to be highly skilled in a specific activity to benefit from it and enjoy it.
L is for Lifetime: Students will be able to make informed decisions that will help them to be active and fit both now and in the future. One objective of the class is to help students prepare for an active lifestyle by introducing activities that they can do throughout their lives.
P is for Personal: No two people have the same needs or interests. It is important for each of us to be able to plan our own lifetime fitness and physical activity programs based on our own unique interests and needs.
