Welcome to Culbreth's Latin program!
You’ve been randomly sorted into gentes (“Roman families/clans/tribes”) with your fellow Latin students. You will learn alongside your gens, celebrate in each other’s successes, and support each other through struggles.
Be mindful of your behavior as a Culbreth Classicist: it will help or hinder your gens!
Look to your 8th grade consules (family leaders) for guidance and support — they’ve been through all of this before!
As a member of your gens, you can earn and/or lose famae (reputation points) for your ENTIRE gens (in all grade levels). The winning gens can collectively vote to redeem fun classroom perks, so you’ll want to help those numbers grow!
Bonam fortunam!
Find your Latin name in the chart to the left. It's sorted by class period and gens. You may need to scroll.
