GENEVA, N.Y. — Over 2,650 student-athletes from more than 270 high schools across the country have been named to the 2022 NFHCA High School National Academic Squad.
The High School National Academic Squad program, sponsored by OPA Winning Teams, recognizes those high school seniors and juniors who have achieved a minimum cumulative, unweighted grade-point average of 3.50 out of 4.0 — or the equivalent — through the first quarter/semester of the 2022-23 school year, and were nominated by their NFHCA member coach.
Seniors and juniors who have achieved a minimum cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.9 out of 4.0 — or the equivalent — through the first quarter/semester of the 2023-23 school year have been recognized as Scholars of Distinction. Student-athletes who have earned Scholar of Distinction honors have been designated with an “SD.”

Congratulations to Brooke Walz (1600m) and Day Leone (3200m) for their first place finishes at the Maryland State Indoor Track Meet on Monday 2/17.

Girls' 4 X 800 Relay - 2nd Place and a new school record (Lexi Cook, Paige Racine, Colleen Nelson, Brooke Walz)
Girls' 800 m Brooke Walz 2nd place and Colleen Nelson 7th place
Girls' Team finished in a tie for 3rd overall
Girls' 1600 m - Lexi Cook 4th place
Girls' 500 m - Paige Racine 6th place
Boys' 3200 Jacob Jarrell 7th place
