Meet Mrs Meranto

My husband Tony and I have 2 children, Anthony and Maria. Tony is an Attorney at law in Youngstown. Anthony plays the Mellophone, French Horn, and Piano. Anthony is a member of the Canfield Pride Marching Band! (Watch for him at football games!) Maria is our artist, and tennis player. We are huge Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, and Y.S.U. fans! We have two cats, Pepino & Sabrina.

I graduated from Youngstown State University with Bachelor degrees in communication studies, mild/moderate disabilities, and early child education. I also earned my Masters of Education degree as a Reading Specialist from Y.S.U. I have been honored to serve as Vice President of Y.S.U. Student Government, and as a board member of both the Youngstown State University Board of Trustees, and Mahoning County Children Services Board. I am so excited to begin my 17th year of teaching at Canfield Local School System!

Some of my favorite activities include spending time with my family, teaching, reading, watching my favorite shows & shopping. I love vacationing to Disney World, the beach, Niagara Falls and the Allegheny mountains to go snow tubing. Our family loves to travel on the Polar Express every year, too! I also love walking and learning how to play tennis with Maria :)
