Welcome to First Grade! The wonderful thing about this age is that the children are excited about being in school and learning new things. They are like sponges, and ready to absorb everything they can! Many of the concepts that we teach in first grade are new to the students. It takes time and practice. You will be seeing phonics, printing, and math pages coming home. Many other topics are also being covered in class in our journals and through group activities.

Each Monday I will send home a class newsletter. Please make note of the spelling words, high frequency words, and the abbreviated calendar for the week's events.
