Should you register for TC3 credit? If you are willing to work hard to earn a 70 or higher in Regents Chemistry, it requires very little additional work on your part to have the opportunity to earn up to EIGHT free college credits through TC3!
It is important to note that, due to differences in the timing of Canastota's four marking periods compared to TC3's two semesters, as well as the weighting of averages, your TC3 grade will not be exactly the same as your Canastota grade. Typically, TC3 grades are a bit lower than Canastota grades.
Important documents and futher information will be shared with parents via Parent Square.
A Few Simple Rules: Respect yourself and others. Take pride in doing your own work. Don't fall behind. Be prepared and be safe.
Personal Technology in Class: There will be times when your phone may be used as a tool for calculating and collecting data. There will also be times when phones will be collected. These times include notes, labs, and any other activity where your full attention is required or you are being distracted by your device. Earbuds may be worn only during designated independent work time. It is disrespectful (and may be unsafe) to have them in at any other time.
Ongoing Extra-Credit Test Corrections: Students can earn back a portion of their missed points by defining a pertinent vocabulary term, explaining their error, and explaining how to arrive at the right answer.
Mrs. Tucci's Chemistry courses are managed through both Google Classroom and BUZZ, online LMS (Learning Management System). Every student will have a private login and will be able to track their progress. Course grades will still be maintained using School Tool. Parents and students are encouraged to monitor grades through School Tool's parent and student portals.

Students will use many Google Apps throughout this class. While Buzz will be our central hub for communication and assignments, we will utilize Google Drive (sheets, docs, slides) for sharing & collaboration. Our classroom Google Calendar is embedded below.
